Larry Weng wins silver in Wideman International Piano Competition

Larry Weng '12AD, '14MMA won a silver medal in the 64th annual Wideman International Piano Competition. The competition was held December 5–7, 2014 in Shreveport, Louisiana.

In the final round, Weng performed Brahms' Concerto No. 2 in B-flat major, Op. 83. Two Silver Medals were awarded; the other went to Kenny Broberg. No bronze medal was conferred.

Among the three special awards, each with a $500 prize, one was awarded to Peter Klimo '14MM for his performance Tchaikovsky's Concerto No. 1 in B-flat minor, Op. 23.
