alumniVentures: Call for Proposals

Yale School of Music grants $75,000 to alumni projects

DEADLINE: December 1, 2011

Dear Alumni,

The enthusiasm and success of alumniVentures over the past four years has been gratifying, and it is with much pleasure that I announce the continuation of this program for 2011-2012. During these challenging economic times, it is especially important that YSM alumni can "advance the cause of music" with assistance from funds that you contribute to the School.

The generous AlumniFund gifts make it possible to award $75,000 in grants. Grants will range from $3,000 to $10,000 at the discretion of the committee.

Please note the following guidelines for 2011-2012 proposals:

Eligibility

All School of Music alumni are eligible, with preference given to those who are engaged in full-time music occupations.
Recipients of alumniVentures grants cannot reapply until four years after the award year.
alumniVentures Committee members cannot apply for grants until five years following their Committee membership.

Dates

Proposals must be submitted online by December 1, 2011
Grants will be awarded by January 15, 2012 and funding will be mailed to recipients shortly thereafter.
Recipients must file a project report by August 31, 2012.

In the interest of the environment and efficiency, all proposals must be submitted online at www.music.yale.edu/alumni/apply
The sole criterion is "to advance the cause of music."
