Morse Recital Hall
Morse Recital Hall is the School of Music’s primary concert venue, with a seating capacity of 680. The stage is ideal for solo and chamber music, and has two Steinway Model D pianos.
The stage can accommodate up to 80 musicians and is also where Yale Opera presents its annual Fall Opera Scenes and Spring Production.
The hall is handicap-accessible to both audience members and performers. It is located on the second and third floors of Albert Arnold Sprague Memorial Hall, which was built in 1917. The building was renovated extensively in the early 2000s and reopened in the fall of 2003.
Restrooms are located on the lower level, reachable by stairs or elevator.
The access ramp is located to the left of the front doors on College Street. Handicap parking and facilities are available.
The elevator can be reached across from the box office windows. It offers access to the recital hall on the second and third floors (orchestra and balcony levels, respectively) and the restrooms and drinking fountains on the lowest level.
