bugADMINISTRATIVE INTERN - POSITION FILLED FOR SUMMER 2014

Administrative Interns assist in the day-to-day operations of the Festival and School, including box office (ticket sales and order fulfillment), marketing and publicity, clerical duties and special projects. Interns assist with artist arrivals, departures, accommodations, and any special needs. They assist with concession operations and concert production duties. They are assigned varied responsibilities at all concerts.

Qualifications: Previous arts administration experience helpful. Interest and/or background in classical music and music education is also helpful.

Compensation: Accommodations, meals, and may be eligible for college credit.


bugFESTIVAL LIBRARIAN/DIRECTOR'S ASSISTANT
POSITION FILLED FOR SUMMER 2014

The Music Librarian is responsible for all activities of the Festival's music and recording library. Responsibilities include purchase and rental of scores and parts, cataloging the Festival's collection, maintenance of card catalogs and lending records, marking bowings, and operation of library's audio equipment. S/he will also produce weekly Young Artists' Performance Series printed programs.

As Director's Assistant s/he will assist the Festival Director in preparation of weekly and daily schedules, correspondence, and coordination of receptions and special events.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, three years' related work experience or an equivalent combination. Previous library experience preferred.

Compensation: Accommodations, meals, and may be eligible for college credit.


bugPRODUCTION MANAGER - POSITION FILLED FOR SUMMER 2014

The Production Manager is responsible for the preparation and upkeep of all concert halls (Music Shed, Battell Recital Hall and Brookside Studio) as well as for all performances and events. Additional responsibilities include upkeep and inventory of all concert and rehearsal equipment (chairs, stands, percussion equipment, etc.); stage management and supervision of all performances, master classes and lectures; operation of stage lighting with occasional re-focusing of lights; load-in, load-out and maintenance of equipment; assist with concert hall scheduling; coordinate and oversee stage crew; assist Recording Engineer when needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, three years' work experience or an equivalent combination. Technical stage experience, familiarity with personal computers, previous arts administration experience and knowledge of classical music performance are a plus.

Compensation: Salary plus accommodations and meals.


bugRECORDING ENGINEER - POSITION FILLED FOR SUMMER 2014

The Recording Engineer is responsible for the professional recording and audio streaming of all concerts and recitals, as well as some dress rehearsals and master classes; general maintenance of all sound, recording, video, and electronic equipment. S/he also prepares audio masters and copies for broadcast and podcasts, archival use, and study purposes, in addition to duplication of recordings for artists and students. Some video work is also required. Assist Production Manager when needed.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus one year related work experience, or an equivalent combination. Experience recording live classical music at a professional level is required. Experience with video and Internet (streaming, etc.) is required.
