We at Norfolk wish to extend our gratitude to all of the very generous lovers of chamber music who, through their gifts, have made these decades of world-class performance and instruction possible. We wouldn’t be enjoying Music Among Friends without them.

Why We Need Your Help
Although Ellen Battell Stoeckel provided a magnificent venue for the study and enjoyment of music, today financial support from her estate accounts for less than 30% of our operating budget. In order to continue to prosper artistically and intellectually as an international festival of the highest order, we rely heavily on ticket sales, government and corporate support, foundations and individual contributions.

Gifts from people like you make the difference not only for our audiences in Norfolk and the region, but also for the many students who come from all over the world to study each year.

Festival Artists and exceptional young instrumentalists, composers, singers and conductors come to Norfolk for a summer immersion in the advanced study of chamber music — instrumental and vocal — through an intensive program of teaching, performances and classes. As part of the curriculum, the Festival offers over thirty concerts.

The centerpiece is our Young Artists' Performance Series: 16 concerts open to the public free of charge from June through August. Faculty, Fellows and Guest Artists also present Friday and Saturday evening concerts which the Hartford Courant described as “what chamber music and music-making should be about: soulful communication, creative passion and pleasant fun.”

All contributions to the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival are tax deductible to the extent permissible by law. Please contact your personal tax advisor for details. All gifts will be recognized in the Festival’s annual Program Book.

For help or more information on these and other ways to support the Festival, please contact James Nelson, General Manager at the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival, P.O. Box 208246, New Haven, CT 06520-8246; call 203.432.8779 or e-mail james.nelson@yale.edu.
