Woolsey Hall, built in 1901 to commemorate Yale’s bicentennial, has a seating capacity of 2,650. It is used by the School of Music for performances by the Yale Philharmonia, as well as organ recitals using the Newberry Memorial Organ, one of the world’s largest and most renowned pipe organs.

Orchestral Rehearsal Hall

The Orchestra Rehearsal Hall is part of the Adams Center for Musical Arts/Hendrie Hall, which is shared by the Yale School of Music and Yale College. Some students, especially percussionists, prefer to perform their recital in this space.
