Just as the faculty, students, and alumni of the Yale School of Music build musical careers across geographic boundaries, the School itself reaches out to create broader international exchanges. These programs contribute immeasurably to giving students the foundation to become successful musicians and cultural leaders.
Projects in recent years include a collaboration between composition students from Yale and the Royal Academy of Music in London, the Yale Opera’s annual program in Milan, Italy, and the Musicathlon, which featured eleven of the world’s finest conservatories in Beijing just before the 2008 Summer Olympics.
With these successes behind it and more collaborative projects ahead, the Yale School of Music stands at the forefront of musical exchanges across the globe.
