Morse Summer Music Academy in full swing

The Morse Summer Music Academy has been in full swing for just over a week and there have already been numerous events: two concerts; a talk to the students and their parents by the distinguished educator James Comer; a special presentation on theory and musicianship by professor Joan Panetti; a clarinet master class with professor David Shifrin; a field trip to the Norfolk Summer School and Chamber Music Festival in northwestern Connecticut; a visit by the donors, Lester and Enid Morse; and an informal meeting with parents by Dean Robert Blocker.

All this in addition to daily ensemble rehearsals, individual practice and lessons, and classes in musicianship.
