Thirty-seven years is a long time to be together (probably longer than most Yale School of Music students have been alive). That togetherness has paid huge dividends for the Emerson String Quartet, who will perform two Viennese gems (Haydn’s Quartet in G minor, Op. 20, No. 3. and Beethoven’s Quartet in C major, Op. 59, No. 3, of the Razumovskys) and a 20th-century work (Britten’s Quartet No. 2 in C major, Op. 36, from 1945) at Yale’s Morse Recital Hall on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 8 p.m.
