Clarinet master class with Roeland Hendrikx April 14

hendrikx-roelandThe clarinet studio will host a master class with Roeland Hendrikx on Tuesday, April 14. Roeland Hendrikx is the clarinet soloist of the Belgian National Orchestra.

The class will take place in Leigh 402 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.

Roeland Hendrikx, clarinet solo of the Belgian National Orchestra, has earned a reputation as one of classical music’s finest solo, chamber, and orchestral musicians. Before joining the National Orchestra of Belgium in 2003, he was E-flat clarinet solo at La Monnaie, the National Opera of Belgium, for six years.

Hendrikx has appeared as a soloist with several European and North American orchestras. As a distinguished chamber musician, he has performed at music festivals in Europe, Japan, and the United States, and has collaborated with other artists and string quartets.

Roeland Hendrikx is professor of clarinet at the Maastricht Conservatory (The Netherlands) and at the Lemmensinstitute of Leuven (Belgium). He has given masterclasses in Japan, Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Oklahoma, and Atlanta.

Roeland is a Selmer and d’Addario artist.
