The Yale School of Music regularly brings in guest artists and educators to give talks and master classes.

Master classes in recent years have featured members of the Berlin Philharmonic and Bach Collegium Japan as well as individual musicians such as clarinetist Charles Neidich, bass-baritone Alan Held, gambist Paolo Pandolfo, and pianist Robert Levin, among others.

Recent guest lecturers have included pianists Alfred Brendel and Elena Sorokina, harpsichordist and scholar Mario Aschauer, composer John Adams, and Croatian president Ivo Josipovic.
