CSMT Studio Assistants

Center for Studies in Music Technology

It is helpful, but not necessary to have some experience in any of the following: music software such as Logic, Digital Performer, Ableton, Native Instruments, Waves.  The studios all use these and similar programs, and is is typical for the studio assistants to be able to help maintain and update these on a MacIntosh platform. Some practical working knowledge of microphones and mixers is also a benefit.

Evening hours are available to work as studio monitors for students with enough experience. The purpose of this is to oversee new student users and help them when possible. There is also support given to live concerts in Sprague Hall in cases where sound reinforcement or other technical requirements are part of the event.

Students who have interest, but little or no experience, are welcome to inquire.
