The clarinet program at the Yale School of Music offers a broad spectrum of training in solo, chamber, and orchestral performance, as well as technical issues such as reed making and coaching in pedagogical techniques.
Chamber music is an integral part of the program, with every student participating throughout their Yale experience. Students also play in various ensembles and configurations in the New Music New Haven series. The Yale Philharmonia offers important orchestral training, exploring a wide variety of repertoire and offering regular opportunities to work with guest conductors.
The program includes private lessons and weekly clarinet seminars.
