Yale Opera announces casting for La Bohème

2014-bohemeYale Opera has announced the casting for its upcoming production of Puccini’s La Bohème, which will take place February 14-16 at New Haven’s Shubert Theater. Performances are 8 pm on Friday and Saturday, and 2 pm on Sunday.

Yale Opera in Morse Recital Hall

Yale Opera has announced the performance night casts for its upcoming production of Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta. The opera, which will be performed May 3 and 4, tells the story of a blind princess who experiences the transformative power of love.

Yale Opera announces casting for DON GIOVANNI

Yale Opera is pleased to announce the casts for its new production of Mozart’s masterpiece Don Giovanni, to be performed at New Haven’s historic Shubert Theater in February.

The original production features stage direction by Sam Helfrich, set design by Andrew Holland, costume design by Kaye Voyce, and lighting design by William Warfel.

Giuseppe Grazioli, who enjoys an international career and has worked with Yale Opera many times, will conduct the Philharmonia Orchestra of Yale.

Performances take place February 11 and 12 at 8 pm, and on February 13 at 2 pm. Tickets are available through the Shubert Theater box office.

Yale Opera announces casting for spring operas

Yale Opera (Doris Yarick Cross, artistic director) has announced the casts for the upcoming production of Bizet’s La Tragédie de Carmen (adapted by Marius Constant, Peter Brook, and Jean-Claude Carrière) and Stravinsky’s Le Rossignol.

The double bill will be presented this coming Friday and Saturday, April 16 and 17, at 8 pm in Sprague Hall. Mark Streshinsky is the stage director; Timothy Shaindlin and Douglas Dickson provide musical direction and accompaniment.
