MUSIC IN SCHOOLS INITIATIVE

All-City @ Home

In place of this year's All-City Ensembles program, we are pleased to introduce All-City @ Home.

Conducted entirely online, All-City @ Home is a tuition-free music program emphasizing mentorship, community, and creativity. The program is open to New Haven Public School students entering grades four to 12. All-City @ Home provides instruction to singers, percussionists, and woodwind, brass, guitarists, and string players.

Students participating in All-City @ Home will take private lessons, participate in small group classes by instrument, learn to use recording and editing technology, compose their own music, study various cultures and musical contexts, and establish foundations in music theory.

Private lessons are scheduled to begin the week of Sept. 22, with group classes to follow in October.

Students who have participated in MorseOnline and/or the 2019-20 All-City Ensembles do not need to audition. New students will be invited to meet their teachers on Zoom for a placement audition.

All-City @ Home is a program of YSM's Music in Schools Initiative, which is supported with a gift from the Yale College Class of 1957.
