Extraordinary Chamber Ensembles

Oneppo Chamber Music Series
Experience the range of chamber music today. From the energy of Time For Three to the comedic brilliance of Mnozil Brass. Guest soloists throughout the season include soprano Karen Slack with the Pacifica Quartet, violist Hsin-Yun Huang with the Brentano String Quartet, cellist Paul Watkins with the Parker Quartet, and percussionist Andy Akiho with Imani Winds.

Melvin Chen presents an all-Janáček program, Alexander Korsantia showcases a lively Petrushka arrangement with tambourine, Paul Lewis premieres a new sonata by Thomas Larcher, and Wei-Yi Yang explores the genius of Schumann. Sensational Opera Scenes

Our annual Fall Scenes offer the opportunity to sample the breadth of Yale Opera, from Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Massenet’s Thaïs to Jake Heggie’s searing Dead Man Walking. The season’s centerpiece is La bohème at the historic Shubert Theatre. And later: Britten’s eerie The Turn of the Screw.
