The Music in Schools Initiative (MISI) shares, with School of Music students, New Haven Public Schools students, and individuals involved in arts education throughout the country, the School’s commitment to fostering cultural leadership and ensuring an active music life for students nationwide.

The biannual Symposium on Music in Schools gathers leaders in the field for a discussion about how music education might best become an integral and important part of any public school curriculum.
