Helen Hagan

Helen Hagan: an inspired life

Helen enrolled and graduated with a bachelor’s degree, in 1912, from the Yale School of Music, which offered undergraduate degrees from its establishment in 1894 until 1958, at which point it became a graduate-professional school. Helen was the first Black woman to graduate from the Yale School of Music.
