Norfolk Festival featured in Financial Times

Music Shed at Norfolk

In an article titled "A legacy of lyricism," the Financial Times praised the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival–Yale Summer School of Music alongside the BBC Proms. Author Harry Eyres writes about how "the summer music festival season in Britain and the U.S. has made me reflect on ways of making a cultural legacy last." One of those legacies is that of Ellen Battell Stoeckel, who founded the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival–Yale Summer School of Music. Eyres calls the Music Shed "magnificent" and notes: "The quality of the young musicians I heard rehearsing and playing at Norfolk was exceptional… as was their guidance from distinguished senior musicians such as the members of the Tokyo String Quartet."
