Description
Flageolet of boxwood, in four parts. Mouthpiece of ivory. The cap or air chamber joint is in two sections, with a straight rather than curved windway. Below are the head or labium joint, and main or body joint. Tenons are wrapped in string. Four ivory ferrules: one each at either end of the cap, and one each at the lower ends of the labium and body joints. Contracting conical bore that flares slightly at the lower end. 7+1 fingerholes; fifth hole for RH3 is particularly large, measuring 8 mm in diameter. One closed brass key for b' natural. Key cover is round and flat. Key cover and touchpiece are one piece mounted into wooden boss of body joint. Key spring is of brass.
