Description

Bowed lute with a single string. Hollow resonating body and neck are carved from one piece of maple, resembling a large spoon. Bridge and headstock are carved with symbolic figure, a dragon or snake. Outside of the back is decorated with dragons and flowers. Horse hair string is usually placed between a bridge and a wooden peg, which is inserted in the rear of the neck. Usually it has a belly of stretched animal skin.
