Description
An african harp, also known as a Niam-niam guitar. It has a hollow wooden body, neck and (no longer extant) head. The body is covered entirely with animal skin, which forms the sounding-surface and is sewed at the back. Five strings extend from the parchment belly to pins which pass through the neck.
